Analysis of Personal Traits in 16 Omani English Language School Textbooks

This paper aims to analyze 16 English language school textbooks used in the Omani government schools. Quantitative and qualitative content analyses are investigate personality traits found textbooks. The analysis included all personal implied by images texts According Hawkins’s (2007) classification of traits, examined: traditional feminist gender traits. study results have indicated that there is a balanced representation males females terms has also shown majority masculine stereotypical. Females were portrayed different situations conveyed feminine Males as risk-takers, self-reliant, nurturing, adventurous, decisive, competitive, aggressive. variety such understanding, affectionate, risk-taker, aggressive, decisive.
